Churu Hotel Owner Brutally Attacked, Arm Broken for Refusing Extortion

In Churu district of Rajasthan, miscreants attacked hotel owner Ruparam Jat after he refused to pay extortion money, breaking his arm and vandalizing the area outside the hotel. The police registered a case based on CCTV footage and began an investigation.

Churu: A sensational incident unfolded on the night of October 10th in Jaisangsar village, located in the Sardarshahar subdivision of Churu district, Rajasthan. Hotel owner Ruparam Jat was attacked by approximately a dozen miscreants, resulting in a broken arm and serious injuries. The attackers also vandalized vehicles parked outside the hotel.

Ruparam Jat stated that the incident was a result of an extortion demand. The victim filed a complaint at Sardarshahar police station against 4 named individuals, including Bikaner's notorious gangster Baliya, and 10 others. Police have initiated an investigation based on CCTV footage.

Hotel Attacked for Refusing Extortion

Hotel owner Ruparam Jat reported that his hotel is located on Taranagar Road, near Jaisangsar village. Around 12 AM on the night of October 10th, hotel employee Subhash received a call on his mobile from Ashish Sihag, a resident of Rawatsar. He threatened that the hotel must either be rented out to them or they be made partners in the earnings.

Subhash conveyed this information to Ruparam. Ruparam stated that he would complain to the police about the matter. This escalated the dispute, and at 1:15 AM, the miscreants, armed with iron pipes and sticks, attacked the hotel.

Attack and Vandalism

The attackers were armed with iron pipes and sticks. They stormed into the hotel, verbally abusing and attacking Ruparam. Ruparam was seriously injured in the attack, and his arm was broken.

A car, a pickup, and a camper van parked outside the hotel were also vandalized by the attackers. The miscreants threatened Ruparam and his family, demanding they pay an extortion sum of 7 lakh rupees within two days or rent out the hotel. The incident spread an atmosphere of fear in the area.

Entire Incident Captured on CCTV Footage

CCTV cameras installed outside the hotel recorded the entire incident. The footage clearly shows how the miscreants, armed with sticks and rods, attacked the hotel and vandalized vehicles.

Following the viral spread of this footage, local residents are questioning police action. Ruparam Jat and his family are terrified after the incident and have demanded security. The incident has also created a tense situation in the colony.

Police Begin Investigation into Extortion Case

Sardarshahar Police Station SHO Madanlal Bishnoi stated that a case has been registered based on Ruparam Jat's complaint. While clear evidence of extortion has not yet been found, the accused will soon be arrested based on CCTV and other evidence. This incident serves as a warning to business owners to be vigilant against extortion and threats, and to immediately report any suspicious incidents to the police.
