CTET 2026 Exam Date Update: CBSE Notification Mentions December Instead of September

CTET 2026 exam date update: CBSE’s new correction notification mentions December 2026 instead of September 2026, while official confirmation on the exam schedule is still awaited.

An update has emerged regarding the CTET 2026 examination date. In a new CBSE correction notification, “December 2026” has been mentioned instead of “September 2026”. This has led to speculation that the CTET examination may be conducted in December. However, CBSE has not yet officially confirmed the examination schedule.

CBSE has allowed candidates to make corrections to their CTET September 2026 application forms until September 10, 2026. Both new applicants and candidates who have already submitted their forms can make necessary changes to their details during this period.

Meanwhile, a change has appeared in the new notification related to the correction window. Earlier notifications related to CTET September 2026 carried the reference “F.No.: CBSE/CTET/SEPTEMBER-2026”. In the new notification, the reference has been changed to “CBSE/CTET/December-2026”.

The change has increased speculation that the CTET examination could be conducted in December 2026. However, CBSE has not officially clarified whether the change in the notification was made inadvertently or whether the examination will actually be held in December.
