Creating b and unique passwords has become essential for digital security, according to cybersecurity experts. They state that using long, complex passwords and maintaining separate credentials for different accounts significantly reduces the risk of hacking.
In the current digital environment, maintaining the security of online accounts has become critical for internet users across social media, banking and email platforms. Cybersecurity experts have recently warned that weak passwords are a primary cause of hacking incidents. Amid rising cyber fraud cases in India and globally, experts are advising users to adopt b and unique passwords comprising at least 12 to 16 characters to safeguard personal information, financial data and digital identities.
A b password should contain a minimum of 12 to 16 characters, including a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. Such complexity makes passwords technically more difficult to crack and strengthens account protection. Cybersecurity experts state that the more complex and unique a password is, the harder it is for hackers to break. Combining memorable phrases, unique words and symbols can offer a secure option while remaining easier to recall.

Experts caution that using personal information such as names, birthdates, mobile numbers or common patterns like 123456 is highly risky, as hackers typically attempt these combinations first. Such details are often easily accessible on social media or other public platforms. To maintain password security, experts advise avoiding any direct use of personal information and instead selecting combinations of words and characters that are not directly linked to private data.
Using the same password across multiple platforms weakens overall account security. In the event of a data breach on one website, hackers may use the compromised password to access other accounts. Experts therefore recommend maintaining separate passwords for banking, email and social media accounts.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of protection. In this process, users must complete a second verification step, such as entering a one-time password or confirming through an authenticator application, in addition to their primary password. This measure helps secure accounts even if a password is exposed. Cybersecurity experts also consider the use of password managers an effective method for securely managing multiple b passwords.
