New Delhi: In a significant development, police on Friday took action in the case related to Rajesh Khimji, the accused in the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Police have detained a friend of Rajesh from Rajkot. The friend is accused of transferring money to the accused. According to police sources, Delhi Police are currently monitoring 10 people who were in contact with Rajesh Khimji through calls and messages. One of these suspects is expected to be brought to Delhi by Friday evening.
In addition, a police team is recording statements from five other individuals in Rajkot whose numbers and data were recovered from the accused's mobile phone. It is noteworthy that Rajesh Khimji, a resident of Rajkot, attacked Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a public hearing at her Civil Lines residence on Wednesday.

A special team of Delhi Police is stationed in Rajkot and has also recorded the statements of five other individuals. The names and contact information of these individuals were found in the accused's mobile data.
