Ideal Nagar, Delhi Metro Staff Quarters were engulfed in a severe fire last night. The fire resulted in the deaths of 42-year-old Ajay, 38-year-old Neelam, and 10-year-old Janhvi. The fire department brought the blaze under control in four hours.

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out last night at the Delhi Metro Staff Quarters in Ideal Nagar, Outer Delhi. This tragic incident claimed the lives of three members of the same family. The deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Ajay, 38-year-old Neelam, and their 10-year-old daughter, Janhvi. The fire department received a call about the incident at 2:39 AM, and immediately dispatched six fire tenders to the scene.

Efforts to Extinguish the Fire

Fire department officials stated that the fire originated on the fifth floor. Upon receiving the information, the fire team immediately initiated rescue and relief operations. During firefighting efforts, the bodies of all three deceased were found burnt inside the room. Fire officials reported that the fire was brought under control at 6:40 AM.

During the operation, a firefighter, Rakesh, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to Jagjivan Hospital, where he received first aid and was subsequently discharged.

Cause of the Fire Unknown

The cause of the fire is still unclear. Police and the fire department stated that the cause of the fire is being investigated. Preliminary information suggests that the fire started in household goods within the quarter. Officials stated that the exact cause of the fire will be revealed after a thorough investigation.
