Delhi Police arrested notorious criminal Tushant Vasu alias Tiger, wanted in over 16 criminal cases, from Rohini. A pistol and live cartridges were recovered from his possession. He was also involved in cases like businessman kidnapping in Gujarat.
New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested notorious criminal Tushant Vasu alias Tiger from the Rohini area. Tushant is accused of kidnapping a businessman in Gandhidham, Kutch district, Gujarat. An automatic pistol and a large quantity of live cartridges were also recovered from his possession.
According to the police, Tushant had been absconding for a long time, and more than 16 criminal cases are registered against him in several districts of Rajasthan and Haryana. These include cases of attempted murder, robbery, theft, and Arms Act violations.
Arrest in Gujarat Businessman Kidnapping Case
Delhi Police stated that on July 16, 2025, four individuals arrived in two vehicles in front of a businessman's office in Gandhidham and forcibly took him away. An FIR was immediately registered in the case. Following a lengthy investigation, the police located Tushant and arrested him during a raid in Rohini.
During interrogation after his arrest, Tushant Vasu confessed that he had contact with history-sheeter Hitendra Singh Jhala behind the kidnapping. The two jointly kidnapped the businessman, who was later released.
Several Criminal Cases Against Tushant Vasu
Tushant Vasu, 32 years old, is a resident of Bajju village in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. He dropped out of his BA studies. According to the police, Tushant had previously been arrested in cases of attempted murder and robbery in Kalanaur, Haryana. After getting bail in 2024, he moved to Gujarat and again became involved in criminal activities.
Police stated that the cases registered against Tushant include attempted murder, robbery, theft, and arms-related offenses. During the arrest, police recovered weapons and live cartridges from his possession.
Delhi Police Investigation Continues
Delhi Police states that Tushant's interrogation is ongoing. All cases are under intensive investigation. The police plan to uncover the entire network through Tushant's arrest and take action against other potential criminals.
This action by the police sends a message that wanted criminals are under constant surveillance, and it will not be easy for anyone to escape the eyes of the law.
