Dhirendra Shastri: 'Won't Go To Bengal As Long As Didi Is There' After Discourse Cancellation

Dhirendra Shastri expressed his displeasure over the cancellation of his spiritual discourse (katha) in Bengal, stating, “As long as Didi is in Bengal, we will not go there.” He advised his followers to respond to the cancellation by smiling and saying ‘Thank You.’

Raipur: Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, the head priest of Bageshwar Dham, adopted a firm stance following the cancellation of his spiritual discourse (katha) scheduled in West Bengal. Shastri stated, "As long as Didi is in Bengal, we will not go there. We will certainly go when Dada takes Didi's place."

This statement came after permission for Baba Bageshwar's spiritual discourse, scheduled to be held in Kolkata from October 10 to 12, was revoked. Shastri Ji assured his followers that his objective is solely to make decisions in the interest of religion and society, not to get entangled in any political controversy.

Shastri Asks Followers to Say Thank You

Dhirendra Shastri smiled before his followers upon the cancellation of the discourse and said, "We asked them to say 'Thank You'." He clarified that his objective is to promote religion and moral values.

Shastri stated that his focus is on providing moral direction to society. He also added that religious activities should not be affected by any political controversy. This statement has sparked discussion within the religious community, and people are curious about the future impact on his visits to Bengal.

Advice on Providing Moral Direction to Society

Dhirendra Shastri prayed to God, saying, "May God keep Didi in power; we have no animosity towards her, but may she keep her wisdom sound and not act against religion."
