Police conducted a raid and arrested four liquor smugglers, initiating verification of their criminal records. All accused were sent to judicial custody, and a case was registered under the Excise Act and the Arms Act.
According to police, Rupaspur police station received information at night that several individuals were illegally smuggling liquor in the Sewarinagar canal area and were also carrying weapons. Acting on the directions of the City Superintendent of Police, a team was immediately formed and conducted a raid at the spot, arresting four persons.
The arrested individuals were identified as Sonu Kumar, Prince Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, and Rahul Kumar of the Fatuha police station area.
During the raid, Danapur police recovered multiple incriminating items from their possession, including approximately 33 litres of foreign liquor of various brands, one country-made firearm, three live cartridges, and four mobile phones.

Danapur ASP Shivam Dhakad said that continuous action is being taken against intoxicants and criminals on the directions of senior officers.
Police have registered a case against the accused for possession of illegal liquor and weapons and have begun an investigation. The criminal antecedents of the arrested smugglers are being verified to determine how long they were involved in illegal liquor and arms activities.
After interrogation, all accused were sent to judicial custody. Police said the investigation is ongoing and all aspects of the case are being examined thoroughly.
Rupaspur and western city police are continuing raids to tackle drugs and crime. Police have appealed to the public to immediately inform authorities about any activities related to illegal liquor or weapons.
