Gaya city will witness a Tiranga Yatra today, with a large number of people expected to participate. In view of the procession, the district administration and traffic police have made temporary changes to the city’s traffic arrangements, with vehicle movement expected to be affected on some key routes for around three hours.

Traffic police have arranged route diversions in view of the expected gathering across major parts of the city. Vehicle movement on roads through which the procession passes will be regulated, while large vehicles will not be allowed to enter sensitive and crowded parts of the city. Police personnel will be deployed at different locations for traffic management.

The traffic arrangements will remain changed for around three hours during the procession. People travelling from one part of the city to another have been advised to avoid the designated procession route and use alternative roads.

Special no-entry arrangements have been made for large vehicles. Heavy vehicles, trucks and other large goods vehicles will not be permitted to use the concerned routes during the designated period. Such vehicles may be diverted outside the city or sent through designated alternative routes.

The restriction is intended to prevent additional traffic pressure on roads during the procession and facilitate traffic management.

The police and administration have also prepared security arrangements for the Tiranga Yatra. Police personnel will be deployed at different locations to manage crowds, regulate traffic and prevent disorder. Special monitoring will be maintained at major intersections and along the procession route.

Vehicle drivers have been asked to remain patient during the procession and follow traffic police instructions. Drivers have been advised to use alternative routes instead of attempting to travel along roads where the procession is passing.

Vehicle movement is expected to be most affected on roads along the Tiranga Yatra route. Vehicles may be temporarily stopped or diverted to other roads while the procession passes. The affected routes will be reopened to normal traffic after the procession moves ahead.

The no-entry restriction for large vehicles has been put in place to prevent crowd movement and heavy vehicle traffic from increasing simultaneously on the same roads. This will also facilitate traffic control during the procession.

Gaya city receives daily traffic from local residents as well as devotees and tourists arriving from outside. The administration has made the diversion arrangements to manage traffic pressure during the Tiranga Yatra.

Travellers have been advised to plan their routes before leaving home. Those who do not need to travel through the designated procession route have been advised to use alternative roads to avoid traffic congestion.

Ambulances, fire services and other essential-service vehicles will be given priority during traffic restrictions. Police will seek to ensure that essential services are not obstructed despite traffic controls.

After the procession ends, traffic arrangements will gradually return to normal. Restrictions on the movement of large vehicles will also be lifted after the designated period. However, police may modify the arrangements as required depending on the crowd situation.

The administration has appealed to people participating in the Tiranga Yatra to maintain discipline, respect the national flag and follow traffic rules. Vehicle drivers have also been asked to comply with police instructions.

Students from schools and colleges, people associated with social organisations and other citizens may participate in the procession. Participants will carry the national flag during the Tiranga Yatra, and patriotic slogans are expected to be raised.

The temporary traffic changes may result in some people taking longer than usual to reach their destinations. People may start their journeys earlier or choose alternative routes if required.

The administration has made the arrangements to manage both the procession and regular traffic. Police will seek to prevent traffic congestion during the event and facilitate the safe movement of people to their destinations.
