Silver prices declined in Delhi, falling by ₹100 to ₹2,44,900 per kilogram after remaining stable for two days. Prices in Mumbai and Kolkata were at similar levels, while Chennai reported higher prices at ₹2,55,100 per kilogram.

Recent movements in gold prices have shown fluctuations. After reaching a record high earlier, prices declined before showing a gradual recovery.

According to experts, increased market uncertainty typically leads investors to move towards gold as a safe-haven asset. However, prices face pressure when investors sell gold to offset losses.

At present, both trends are visible in the market, with some investors booking profits while others are buying at lower levels.

George Efstathopoulos, money manager at Fidelity International, stated that the recent decline in gold prices presents a buying opportunity. He cited structural factors such as inflation, fiscal pressure and uncertainty in the bond market as potential supports for gold prices in the future.
