Gorakhpur. The body of a teenager was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in the Chiluatal area of the city on Wednesday morning. The incident has deepened the mystery as both hands of the deceased were tied. The police inspected the scene, called the forensic team to collect evidence, and have initiated an investigation into the entire matter.
The deceased has been identified as Lavkush Pandey, originally a resident of Lohraiya village in the Sikriganj area, who was living in a rented room in the Gorakhnath police station area for his studies.
According to family members, after returning from coaching on Tuesday evening, he went for a short walk and then came back to his room and locked the door. In the morning, when his sister peered in from the roof, Lavkush was found hanging.
Police stated that the noose found in the room was made from black tent fabric. The most shocking aspect was that the deceased's hands were also tied with a rope. This has intensified suspicions that the case might be murder rather than suicide.
Chiluatal police station officials stated that investigations are being conducted in all possible directions regarding the incident.
The forensic team has collected samples and crucial clues from the room. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
The actual cause of death will only be confirmed after the report is received.
The family is in deep shock over the incident. His sister mentioned that Lavkush was fond of mobile games and had also made some preparations in his room, which has added a suicide angle to the investigation.
