During a dispute over street construction in Rasgan village of Rewari, the Sarpanch attacked his brother and sister-in-law. A video that went viral on social media shows the Sarpanch attempting to strangle both of them. A complaint has been filed with the police and an investigation has been initiated.

Rewari: A dispute over street construction in Rasgan village of Rewari district in Haryana has escalated. In the incident that occurred on August 29, the village Sarpanch, Karansingh, physically assaulted his own brother, Vijaypal, and sister-in-law, Sushma. A video that has gone viral on social media clearly shows the Sarpanch throwing both of them to the ground and attempting to press their throats. A complaint regarding the matter was lodged with the Women's Police Station, Rewari, late in the evening on August 30.

The reason for the dispute has been attributed to a four-month-long disagreement over street construction in the village. According to local residents, both parties have long held differing views on the construction work, which led to the violent altercation.

Violent Dispute Captured on Video

The video that has gone viral on social media clearly shows the Sarpanch throwing his brother and sister-in-law to the ground. He continues the assault despite having his hands on their necks and their resistance.

The video also captures attempts to slap and arguments between both parties. During this time, another individual intervenes and separates them. The video has gravely highlighted the entire incident, demonstrating how violent and out of control the dispute was.

Dispute Originated Over Street Construction

Vijaypal, a retired Sub-Inspector of the BSF and the aggrieved brother, stated that a court stay is in effect for 36 houses in the village. He claims that his brother, the Sarpanch, wants the street to be constructed after demolishing the houses, whereas he does not wish to create animosity with the entire village.

Vijaypal further alleged that his brother and sister-in-law arrived that day with a full plan, and the fight was also recorded for a video. According to him, this assault was not sudden but a result of long-standing disagreements between both parties.

Investigation Begins After Complaint Filed at Women's Police Station, Rewari

Following the complaint lodged on August 30 at the Women's Police Station, Rewari, an immediate investigation into the matter has commenced. The police have questioned all accused individuals based on the video and are gathering evidence.

Local administration has stated that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty. Both the villagers and the administration are being vigilant regarding this dispute to prevent any future violence or escalating tension.
