There is a possibility of Red and Orange Alerts remaining in effect in several districts on August 13th as well, so it is necessary to exercise caution.

Risk of Heavy Rain in Himachal Pradesh as Well

An Orange Alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued in several areas of Himachal Pradesh from Monday to Thursday. According to the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), a total of 360 roads have been closed, including the Aut-Sainj route, which is part of NH-305. Of these, 212 are in Mandi district and 92 roads are in Kullu district. Traffic may be affected in many places due to rain, and emergency services may also face difficulties.

The Meteorological Department has also issued a heavy rain alert for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad until mid-August. Very heavy rainfall is possible in these areas between August 13th and 15th. Along with this, continuous rain is likely to continue in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next few days. Incidents of thunder and lightning may also occur, so everyone is advised to remain vigilant.
