New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has targeted Rahul Gandhi, saying that he is not only anti-BJP but also anti-India. This statement comes after Rahul Gandhi supported US President Donald Trump's comment regarding India's economy. Sarma says that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to improve the country's image at the international level, Rahul Gandhi is engaged in defaming the country.

US President's Comment and Rahul Gandhi's Reaction

Recently, US President Donald Trump termed India's economy as "devastated." He said on social media that both India and Russia are taking their devastated economies into the abyss and they don't care. In this context, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, supporting this statement, said that everyone except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman knows that India's economy is indeed devastated.

Himanta Biswa Sarma's Counterattack

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has termed these statements of Rahul Gandhi as anti-national. He said that in the last 7 days, Rahul Gandhi has completely exposed himself in front of the public. Now it has become clear that he is not only an opponent of the BJP but also of the country.

Sarma said, "When Prime Minister Narendra Modi is enhancing India's reputation globally, strengthening strategic and economic partnerships with different countries, at that time Rahul Gandhi is trying to weaken the country by criticizing India abroad."

Sarma Levied Serious Allegations on Rahul

Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing Rahul Gandhi of neglecting national interest, said that such statements not only harm India's economic credibility but also create confusion in the minds of foreign investors. He said that India's economic policies and performance can be criticized on the floor of Parliament, but it is not appropriate to stand in favor of foreign leaders and criticize India.
