Delhi: A sensational incident in Delhi's Nizamuddin on the night of Thursday, August 7th, shook the entire area. A minor dispute over scooter parking suddenly turned violent, claiming the life of Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi. In the attack, which took place around 11 pm, the accused severely injured Asif with a sharp weapon. He was taken to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead.
Dispute Over Parking Scooter Outside the House
According to police investigation, late at night, an argument ensued between Asif and some people regarding parking a scooter outside the gate of the house. Asif asked the accused to move the vehicle, but they refused, and the quarrel escalated. During this, the accused attacked him with a sharp weapon, causing Asif to be seriously injured. Due to excessive bleeding, his condition deteriorated on the spot. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
Serious Allegations by Wife
According to the deceased's wife, the dispute started between 9:30 and 10 pm when a young man from the neighborhood was blocking the gate by parking his scooter in front of it. Asif asked him to move the vehicle forward, but he started abusing and threatened to come back and show him. After a while, he came down with his brother and stabbed Asif in the chest. The wife alleges that this murder was a conspiracy because similar disputes had occurred before. She said that Asif always addressed the neighbors as 'brother,' but in return, he had to hear abusive language.
Brother Demands Justice
Asif's brother, Javed, said that minor arguments had occurred before regarding the parking dispute, but this time the matter proved fatal. He said, "I received a phone call from home that Asif had a fight. I rushed there and found him lying on the ground. I took him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead." Javed demanded that the police take strict action in the matter and give the culprits severe punishment.
