Rahul Gandhi Alleges Fake Voting in 2024 Election; Election Commission Demands Proof. Shashi Tharoor Supports Him, Demands Transparent Investigation from the Commission.

Rahul Gandhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi recently made serious allegations of fake voting during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in a Karnataka assembly constituency during a press conference. He claimed that there are many irregularities in the voter list, citing examples where house numbers are listed as "0" and voters' fathers' names are incorrectly recorded.

Rahul Gandhi Presents Evidence

Rahul Gandhi also presented some documents in support of these allegations and said that he would submit the evidence of these irregularities to the Election Commission. He stated that such irregularities undermine the foundation of democracy and need immediate attention.

Election Commission Demands Affidavit

Following Rahul Gandhi's allegations, the Election Commission has asked him for an affidavit and signed documentation as proof to support these claims. The Commission has clarified that an investigation into any matter is only possible when it is accompanied by solid evidence and verifiable information.

Shashi Tharoor Offers Support

Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has supported Rahul Gandhi's allegations and appealed to the Election Commission to take immediate action in this matter. He said that this is not just an issue for one party but a matter related to the democracy of the entire country.

Shashi Tharoor said, "This is a serious question that must be resolved seriously in the interest of all parties and voters. Our democracy is too valuable to be weakened by incompetence, negligence, or deliberate manipulation."

Demand for Transparency from the Election Commission

Tharoor also said that the Election Commission should maintain transparency in every process and provide the people of the country with information about all steps from time to time. He appealed to the Commission to prioritize this matter and conduct an impartial investigation, taking all parties into confidence.

Kharge Also Raises Voice

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also supported Rahul Gandhi's allegations, saying that the country must now unite to save democracy and the constitution. He said that earlier the impartiality of the Election Commission was appreciated all over the world. Other countries used to take training from the Election Commission of India. But now the commission seems to be behaving like a representative of the ruling party.
