IMD Weather Alert for October 10: Rain and Thunderstorms Forecast in 23 States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms and b winds across 23 states on October 10. The affected regions include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, among others. Wind speeds could reach up to 70 kmph in some areas, although rainfall intensity and weather conditions are expected to vary across locations.

Several parts of the country have begun experiencing a slight chill during the morning and evening hours. The latest weather forecast indicates the possibility of rain and b winds across multiple regions on October 10.

According to the weather forecast, adverse weather conditions are possible in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.

Rainfall and b winds could disrupt normal activities in affected areas. Farmers have also been advised to remain alert, as standing crops and produce ready for harvesting could be at risk of damage. People planning to go fishing at sea should follow local weather warnings.

Parts of the national capital may experience light rain or drizzle on October 10, with cloudy skies expected. The maximum temperature is forecast to be around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may remain at 23 degrees Celsius.

Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 20–30 kmph. Temperatures during the morning and evening hours may contribute to a slight chill.

Several areas of Uttar Pradesh, including Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Mirzapur, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur, may receive rainfall accompanied by b winds. Wind speeds could reach up to 70 kmph in some locations.

In Lucknow, the maximum temperature is forecast to be around 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius.

In Bihar, rain and thunderstorms are possible in several districts, including Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhojpur, Buxar, Aurangabad, Saran, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj.

Winds in parts of the state could reach speeds of 40–50 kmph. Patna is expected to record a maximum temperature of around 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius.

In Rajasthan, light to moderate rainfall is possible in Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer and Bharatpur. Wind speeds of 30–40 kmph are forecast in some areas.

Jaipur is expected to record a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius.

In Madhya Pradesh, rainfall and b winds are possible in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Balaghat, Gwalior and Raisen. Wind speeds could reach up to 70 kmph in some locations.

Bhopal is forecast to record a maximum temperature of around 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius.

Rainfall and b winds are possible across several districts of Himachal Pradesh, including Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Una.

Wind speeds in some areas could reach 40–50 kmph. Temperatures in Manali are expected to remain considerably low. People travelling through hilly areas have been advised to exercise particular caution.
