Imran Khan's Son Qasim Raises Alarm: 'No Proof My Father Is Alive' After Six Weeks of Silence in Adiala Jail

Imran Khan's son Qasim alleges no contact for six weeks, sparking fears for his father's safety in Adiala Jail. This ignites a political storm in Pakistan, with protests and international appeals.

Serious allegations by Imran Khan's son, Qasim, regarding his father's condition in Adiala Jail, have caused a stir in Pakistan. Six weeks of no contact, protests, government clarifications, and PTI pressure have made the situation extremely tense.

Imran Khan: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has now been imprisoned for over two years. He has been in Adiala Jail for approximately 845 days, during which neither his family nor any senior leader of his party, PTI, has been permitted to meet him. In this context, the recent statement by his son, Qasim Khan, has caused a stir across Pakistan. Qasim claims he has received no information about his father for six weeks and possesses no evidence to prove that Imran Khan is alive.

Qasim Khan's Serious Allegation

Qasim, who lives in Britain, wrote on social media platform X that Imran Khan has been held for the past six weeks in a place where all contact is completely prohibited. Neither the family is being informed nor are lawyers allowed entry. He stated, “We do not even have any proof that my father is alive.”

His statement has unleashed a storm in Pakistani politics. Qasim and his brother generally do not engage in political matters, but circumstances have compelled them to speak out openly.

Claim of a Conspiracy to Isolate

Qasim alleges that his father is being isolated from the public and family not for security reasons, but as part of a well-orchestrated plan. On several occasions, despite court orders, Imran Khan's sisters were denied entry into the jail. The refusal to allow lawyers to meet him has further deepened the mystery. He states that this situation is not normal but points towards a larger scheme.

Security Responsibility of the Government

Qasim has appealed to the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and democratic governments worldwide to intervene. He stated that if any untoward incident happens to Imran Khan, the entire responsibility will lie with the Government of Pakistan. He urged the world to pressure Pakistan to reveal Imran Khan's true condition.

Overnight Tension Outside Adiala Jail

Tension over Imran Khan's condition was not limited to social media. Late at night, a high-voltage drama unfolded outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Sohail Afridi, the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, began a sit-in protest outside the jail in the evening. He stated that he was being prevented from meeting Imran Khan, despite clear orders from the Supreme Court and High Court preventing officials from doing so.

Afridi said he was protesting so that international media could witness how orders are being disregarded in Pakistan and how even a Chief Minister is not being allowed to meet him.

The Government's Different Stance

Amidst this entire controversy, the stance of the Pakistan government and jail administration is completely different. They claim that Imran Khan is not being subjected to any hardship. The jail administration states that Imran is receiving facilities not provided to an ordinary prisoner.

Pakistan's Defense Minister also stated that Imran Khan is being provided with special meals, gym facilities, and comfortable living arrangements. According to the government, the entire matter is being unnecessarily escalated by PTI.

Permission for Meeting

Following continuous protests by PTI leaders and Qasim's statement, the jail administration has assured that other family members, including Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan, will be granted permission for a meeting. This immediately calmed some of the protests, but now all eyes are on this meeting.

Whether the family will uncover the truth about Imran Khan's condition, and whether the veracity of the government and jail administration's claims will come to light, will become clear in a few days.
