India Aims for Top 5 Sporting Nation Status by 2047 with Ambitious New Plan

An ambitious plan has been formulated to include India among the top five sporting nations in the world by 2047. This plan has been crafted in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the nation as it completes 100 years of independence.

Sports News: Emphasizing the sustainable and gradual development of sports culture in the country, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya provided significant information on Friday. He stated that special plans have been made to make India a developed nation and include it among the top five sports powerhouses by 2047. Ten-year and 25-year plans have been prepared in this regard, which will be implemented soon.

The aim of these plans is to improve infrastructure, training, sports talent, and competitive sports at all levels, so that India's sports talents can achieve international success.

Mandaviya said - 'Development of Sports Culture'

Mandaviya stated that developing a sports ecosystem in India and making sports a part of lifestyle is a priority for the government. For this, 10-year and 25-year plans have been created, with the objective of not only nurturing sports talent but also making India a global sports powerhouse. He explained, "We need to create a work culture where talent identification and development happen systematically. Additionally, leagues from countries around the world should be organized in India, and experienced former players can utilize their skills in the sports sector."
