India Champions Reach WCL 2025 Semi-Finals After Victory Over West Indies

The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 is now entering its final and most exciting phase. In the match played on July 29th, India Champions defeated West Indies Champions by 5 wickets, securing their place in the semi-finals. 

WCL 2025: The World Championship of Legends 2025 is now heading towards its thrilling conclusion. With the league stage completed, the four semi-finalist teams of the tournament have been decided. India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia have made it to the final four. The biggest attraction is the semi-final match between India and Pakistan, which will be played on July 31st at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

India Champions' Hard-Fought but Decisive Victory

India Champions' journey in the league stage was full of ups and downs. The team entered the semi-finals by defeating West Indies Champions by 5 wickets on July 29th. This was India's first win in the tournament. Prior to this, the team had faced three consecutive defeats against Australia, England, and South Africa. Furthermore, the team refused to play against Pakistan on July 20th, due to which both teams were awarded 1 point each.

India won only 1 match out of a total of 5 matches and finished fourth in the points table with 3 points. Due to the performance of other teams and interesting equations in the points table, India managed to reach the semi-finals.

England and West Indies Out of the Tournament

While India made a comeback from the bottom to secure a place in the semi-finals, the journey of England and West Indies Champions ended here. England Champions finished fifth in the points table, while West Indies finished last. Both teams were out of the semi-final race, and their dream of winning the title in WCL 2025 remained unfulfilled.

Pakistan Champions has emerged as the most successful team in the tournament. Under the captaincy of Shoaib Malik, the team won 4 out of 5 matches and secured the first position in the points table with 9 points. Pakistan has displayed a great combination of accurate bowling, aggressive batting, and experience. Players like Saeed Ajmal, Sharjeel Khan, and Shoaib Maqsood have performed brilliantly, leading the team to consecutive victories.
