MP Jyotiraditya Scindia reviewed flood relief efforts in a virtual meeting with the Collectors of Ashoknagar, Guna, and Shivpuri. He instructed them to provide immediate relief, medical care, and security.
New Delhi: Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia held a virtual meeting with the District Collectors regarding the flood situation in the Ashoknagar, Guna, and Shivpuri districts. In the meeting, he gave clear instructions to the officials to expedite relief efforts in the flood-affected areas and to provide security, food, clean drinking water, and medical services without any delay.
Scindia said that boats, helicopters, and other necessary resources should be used immediately wherever needed. He told all the District Magistrates that there should be no laxity in relief work at any level and that help should reach every affected family.
Instructions to all departments to work in coordination
In the meeting, Scindia emphasized that all concerned government departments should work together to carry out relief work so that no affected citizen is deprived of assistance. He told the officials that there should be transparency and accountability in delivering help to those in need.
Central and State Governments Active Regarding Relief Efforts
Scindia informed that he is in constant contact with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. Along with this, he said that he is also constantly discussing the situation with the Chief Minister of the state, Mohan Yadav. If any district needs additional assistance, it will be provided immediately.
He said that the central and state governments are working together to ensure that there are no obstacles in the relief work and that real help reaches the ground.
Responsibilities Given to Public Representatives and Workers
Union Minister Scindia appealed to the MLAs and party workers of Ashoknagar, Guna, and Shivpuri to participate in the relief work with full sensitivity and promptness. He said that this is a time for service above politics, and all public representatives should stand with the needy in their areas.
Scindia said that he himself is monitoring the situation 24 hours a day and is in contact with all concerned officials and representatives. He said that he is personally making every necessary effort to ensure that no one in need is deprived of assistance.
Instructions to the Administration for Continuous Monitoring of Relief Work
Scindia directed the District Magistrates to regularly monitor all relief work and make the work transparent by involving local public representatives in the process. He said that public participation in administrative work will increase credibility and give people confidence that the government stands with them.
Every Victim is a Part of My Family: Scindia
At the end of the meeting, Scindia said emotionally, "Every victim is a member of my family. In this hour of crisis, I am not just an MP, but standing with you as a part of your own family." He reiterated that negligence in relief work at any level would not be tolerated and the administration would have to work with full responsibility.
