India Sends Medical Team to Dhaka After Bangladesh Plane Crash Kills Dozens

India Sends Burn Specialist Doctors and Nurses to Dhaka for Treatment of Children Injured in Bangladesh Plane Crash. Treatment Process Begins.

Bangladesh Military Jet Crash: A horrific plane crash in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, has claimed the lives of 32 people so far, including 25 innocent children. Many are severely burned, and their treatment in Dhaka hospitals has become a challenge. In light of this situation, India has extended a helping hand. A team of specialist doctors and trained nurses from the burn units of Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) and Safdarjung Hospital has been sent to Dhaka. State-of-the-art medical equipment is also being sent with the team to ensure proper treatment of the victims.

Nation Mourns Deaths of Innocent Children in Dhaka Plane Crash

On Monday, a Bangladesh Air Force F-7BGI training fighter jet crashed into the building of Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka. The collision was so devastating that a fire broke out in the school, and chaos spread throughout the campus.

So far, 32 people have lost their lives in this accident, including 25 schoolchildren. In addition, many children have been severely burned and are being treated in local hospitals. However, due to a lack of resources and the complexities of treatment, the condition of many patients remains critical.

Rapid Medical Assistance from India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi immediately expressed his deep condolences after the accident and assured Bangladesh of all possible assistance. Taking a step in this direction, the Government of India has dispatched a team of burn treatment specialist doctors and experienced nurses from two major hospitals in Delhi – Ram Manohar Lohia and Safdarjung – to Dhaka.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in an official statement that the team will assess the condition of the burned patients there and, if necessary, they may also be brought to India for advanced treatment. Also, the team is carrying necessary medical equipment with them, which is specially used in burn cases.

Burn Unit Specialist Team is Leading

This medical team includes two experienced doctors – one from RML and the other from Safdarjung Hospital. Along with this, specialist nurses from the burn department have also been sent to Dhaka. Their task is not only to provide primary treatment, but also to understand the condition of the patients seriously and make further medical plans.

Serious Situation in Dhaka Hospitals

According to a report in Bangladesh's leading newspaper 'The Daily Star', a very sad and frustrating situation is being seen in Dhaka hospitals. Hundreds of relatives reached the 500-bed hospital on Monday in search of their burnt children. Many families are in deep shock after receiving the news of their children's deaths.

Security has been increased outside the hospital. Now, only patients, their relatives, and medical personnel are allowed to enter the hospital premises. Army personnel are stationed at the gate to maintain order.

A Mother's Plea for Innocent Makin

A heartbreaking scene emerged when a mother, Saleha Nazneen, was standing outside the ICU waiting for news of her son. Her son, Abdur Musabbir Makin, who studies in class 7, was seriously burnt in the accident. He is on a ventilator and fighting for his life.

Saleha was repeatedly saying – "Please, bring my Makin back to me." Her sorrow moved the entire atmosphere. This scene illustrates the extent of the permanent pain that this accident has left in the lives of so many families.

Investigation into the Accident and the Aircraft Under Scrutiny

After this tragic accident, the Bangladesh Air Force has formed a high-level inquiry committee which is investigating the causes of the accident. The aircraft that caused the accident was the F-7BGI, which is an advanced version of China's Chengdu J-7 and is based on the model of the Soviet Union's MiG-21.
