According to the information provided, the current tensions in the region intensified after military developments that began on February 28. Following attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, the situation escalated further. Iran carried out retaliatory actions, raising security concerns across the region.

Iranian state media confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior officials were killed in the attacks. Subsequent exchanges of attacks and counterattacks have intensified across the region.

Iran targeted Israeli positions, United States military bases and strategic locations in the Gulf region. The confrontation has increased security concerns across the Middle East.

The government stated that the safety of Indian citizens abroad remains its priority. A large number of Indians work in Gulf countries, while others are present in the region for employment, business or transit.

The control room and helpline arrangements have been set up to ensure that Indians receive assistance in case of any emergency. The Ministry of External Affairs said it is continuously monitoring the situation in the region.

The government has advised Indian citizens in the Middle East and Gulf region to follow instructions issued by local authorities. Citizens have also been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from crowded and sensitive locations.

In case of any difficulty, citizens have been asked to contact the nearest Indian embassy or the issued helpline numbers and to rely only on official sources of information rather than unverified reports circulating on social media.
