New Delhi: The Indian government is preparing a new and robust diplomatic initiative to expose Pakistan's support for terrorism on the global stage. Under this initiative, the central government will send a Multi-Party Parliamentary Delegation to various countries, where they will present evidence of Pakistan's support for terrorism. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is likely to lead this delegation. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, media reports prominently feature his name.

Government Strategy: Attempting to corner Pakistan on the international stage

India has long accused Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism, but the government has now decided to raise this issue internationally in a more aggressive manner. For this purpose, a delegation of approximately 40 parliamentarians will be divided into seven separate groups to visit major countries around the world.

These countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Japan, and South Africa. The tour will begin on May 23 and last for approximately 10 days. During this time, India will present factual information regarding Pakistan's support for terrorism.

Shashi Tharoor, a former Minister of State for External Affairs who has represented India on international forums, is expected to play a leading role in this delegation. Following this news, the Kerala Congress welcomed the move in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The Kerala Congress's post stated, "At a time when the Modi government and the foreign minister's international credibility is under question, the country needs a leader who can bly advocate for India. We welcome the government's decision to entrust this responsibility to a Congress leader. We are confident that Shashi Tharoor will bly represent India on international forums."

MPs from both Opposition and Ruling Parties to Participate

The central government is working on a plan to include parliamentarians from various political parties in this campaign to present a b and united national front. Besides the Congress, MPs like Sanjay Jha and Priyanka Chaturvedi from the Janata Dal United (JDU), Sasmit Patra, Salman Khurshid, Manish Tewari, and Aparajita Sarangi from the BJP are likely to participate.
