What the Recruitment Process Includes
The Agniveer Vayu recruitment process is completed in several stages, ensuring that only eligible and fit candidates are selected. The process begins with a written examination and concludes with a medical test.
Transparency is a key priority in this selection process. The Indian Air Force evaluates candidates' eligibility, fitness, and mental aptitude at every stage. This system provides a fair opportunity for youth to build a career in the Air Force.

Physical Test and Its Requirements
Candidates' fitness is assessed in the Physical Efficiency Test. Men are required to complete a 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, while for women, the time limit is set at 8 minutes.
The objective of this stage is to ensure that candidates meet the physical standards of the Air Force. Besides running, other fitness parameters are also observed, which are essential for future challenges.
Written Examination Pattern
The examination pattern differs for both Science and Non-Science streams. Candidates from the Science stream have a 60-minute examination covering Physics, Mathematics, and English.
For candidates from the Non-Science stream, a 45-minute examination is conducted, which includes English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. A total evaluation of 85 minutes assesses the candidate's academic aptitude and analytical ability.
