Being dropped from the World Cup squad in 2022 was nothing short of a shock for her. She revealed that at that time, she relied on her family, friends, and coaches to cope. "I was determined to prove myself again. I focused on my training, practiced on challenging pitches, and started playing against male bowlers in the local circuit. Today, when I stepped onto the field, I just thought that I had to play for my country. And God took care of everything."

Significant Contribution from Local Coaches and Fans

Jemimah also credited her success to her coaches, teammates, and fans. She stated that the support from the Navi Mumbai crowd gave her extra energy. "Navi Mumbai is very special to me. People came in such large numbers; seeing their enthusiasm filled my heart. I want to thank everyone."

Jemimah's cricket journey has been inspiring since childhood. She was just 10 years old when India won the World Cup in 2011. Her house was right behind Sachin Tendulkar's house at that time. She recounted that when Sachin returned home and the entire neighborhood was welcoming him, she decided then and there that she too wanted to win the World Cup for the country. "I saw Sachin Sir that day, and only one wish sparked in my mind — that one day I too would do something great for India."
