A piece of tragic news has emerged from the Malayalam film industry. Renowned actor and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Navas has passed away at the age of 51. He was found unconscious in a hotel in Chottanikkara, Kochi, on Friday evening.

Body Found in Hotel Room, Suspected Cardiac Arrest
According to media reports, Kalabhavan Navas was staying at a hotel in Kochi for the shooting of an upcoming Malayalam film, 'Prakampanam.'
When he did not arrive at the reception for check-out at the appointed time, hotel staff became suspicious. Upon opening his room, the staff found Navas unconscious. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police suspect that his death may have been caused by cardiac arrest (sudden stoppage of heart function). However, final confirmation will only be possible after the post-mortem report.
Body to be Handed Over to Family After Post-mortem
To ascertain the actual cause of death, Navas's post-mortem will be conducted on Saturday at the Kalamassery Government Medical College Hospital in Kochi. Currently, his body is kept at the SD Tata Hospital in Chottanikkara. Preliminary police investigations have not found any suspicious objects or situations in his room, making the possibility of suicide or murder seem negligible.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Kalabhavan Navas. He stated that Navas was a skilled comedian who made significant contributions to Malayalam cinema and television.

Navas's real name was K. Navas, and he was one of the most talked-about comedic actors in Malayalam cinema.
His career began as a mimicry artist. He trained at the Kochi-based 'Kalabhavan' institution, from which many prominent artists have emerged.
