The film 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana', released in 2002, brought a new wave of romance and music to audiences. While the film introduced many new stars, the career trajectory of its lead actress, Jividha Sharma, took a different turn.
Entertainment News: At the dawn of the new millennium, cinema was undergoing a transformation. New narratives were emerging on screen. During this period, on one hand, serious films with social messages like 'Bhagat Singh' and 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' were being released, while on the other, light-hearted romantic films were also garnering immense popularity among viewers.
It was in this context that the film 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana' was released. This movie introduced two new stars to the big screen, one of whom was the lead actress Jividha Sharma. Following the film's success, these stars rapidly gained popularity, but just as quickly, their shine faded. Nowadays, Jividha Sharma is largely absent from cinema, and her name is rarely heard on screen.
Beginning of Film Career

Jividha Sharma commenced her career in 1998 with the Tamil film 'Kadhaley Nimmadhi'. Subsequently, in 1999, she received her first major break in Bollywood, portraying Aishwarya Rai's younger sister in the film 'Taal'. Her performance in this movie was highly appreciated, and Jividha's career began to gradually advance.
However, her true stardom came with 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana'. Karan Nath starred opposite her in the film, and their chemistry became a talking point among audiences. The film's songs were blockbuster hits and are still played at events like weddings and conferences today.
Challenges After Becoming a 'Hot Property' in Bollywood
Following 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana', Jividha began receiving numerous film offers. She was offered roles alongside star casts like Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi. However, this success also brought challenges such as being asked to compromise and facing casting couch issues. Jividha herself revealed in an interview with Lallantop,

'People tried to get physically close to me, they tried to touch me unnaturally. I wanted to work honestly and was unwilling to compromise in any wrong way.'
Consequently, Jividha decided to distance herself from Bollywood. After leaving Bollywood, Jividha worked in TV shows and Punjabi films. In 2016, she played Hrithik Roshan's mother in the film 'Mohenjo Daro' alongside Hrithik. Additionally, Jividha is now active as a producer and business head.
After getting married in 2000, Jividha Sharma now resides in Mumbai with her family and is a mother of two children. She is also quite active on social media, regularly sharing her pictures.
