BRS President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has been admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda after his health deteriorated. A team of doctors is examining his health.
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) was admitted to Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, late Thursday night after his health suddenly deteriorated. The 71-year-old KCR experienced general weakness and fatigue, after which the family immediately decided to take him to the hospital. KCR's condition is currently reported to be stable, and a team of doctors is monitoring him.
According to information, KCR had returned to his residence in Nandinagar with his family from his Erravalli farmhouse on Thursday. Within a few hours of arriving there, he complained of weakness and restlessness, following which he was admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.
KCR's Blood Sugar High
Preliminary tests conducted at Yashoda Hospital revealed that his blood sugar levels were quite high, while the sodium levels in his body were below normal. Doctors believe that this is why he felt extreme weakness. General physician Dr. MV Rao issued a press release stating that KCR's sugar and sodium levels were found to be imbalanced, although all other vital parameters are currently normal. He has been admitted to the hospital as a precaution and is under medical supervision.
Doctors said that the necessary medications are being administered to control blood sugar and normalize sodium levels. If the improvement continues at the expected pace, he may be discharged from the hospital in the next few days. Meanwhile, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also expressed concern about KCR's health and spoke to medical officials. He instructed that there should be no shortcomings in the treatment and that the former Chief Minister should be provided with the best possible care. The Chief Minister also wished him a speedy recovery.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inquired about KCR's health
BRS leader and KCR's son KT Rama Rao also reached the hospital and took detailed information from the doctors about his father's health. Many BRS workers and supporters also reached outside the hospital and prayed for their leader. It is noteworthy that KCR's health problems arose soon after the BRS was ousted from power in the December 2023 assembly elections.
Following the election results, he slipped and fell at his residence in Hyderabad, fracturing his left hip and requiring total hip replacement surgery. Since that surgery, his activity has been limited, and he has been seen less frequently at public events.
