The condition of the trader injured by Chinese manjha (kite string) is currently stable. Following the incident, the family and local residents have demanded strict action from the administration. The continued incidents despite repeated occurrences demonstrate negligence on the part of the authorities.

Rajasthan: The danger of Chinese manjha has resurfaced in Kota city. On Monday evening, a young man suddenly came into contact with this sharp string in the Balita Road area. The young man was returning home after closing his shop when Chinese manjha, hanging in the air near the ROB bridge, got entangled in his neck.

The manjha was so sharp that it cut the young man’s neck, causing bleeding. When he reached out to remove the string, two of his fingers were also severely cut. Chaos erupted on the road within seconds. People nearby were shocked to see how deadly the manjha could be.

Young Man’s Life Saved by the Presence of Mind of Passersby

The injured young man has been identified as Manan Jain, the proprietor of Shri Arihant Jewellers. Immediately after the incident, passersby showed humanity and helped the young man. Seeing the bleeding, they immediately stabilized him and took him to a nearby hospital.

Doctors at the hospital stated that the young man has deep wounds on his neck and fingers. During treatment, approximately 15 to 20 stitches were applied to his neck and hands. According to doctors, the young man’s life was saved due to timely treatment. His condition is currently stable, but he will be kept under observation for a few days.

Chinese Manjha Being Sold Openly

The father of the injured young man has questioned the administration’s functioning. He says that Chinese manjha has injured many people in the past, yet its sale continues unabated. This string is easily available in markets and neighborhoods, despite being completely prohibited.

He explained that this manjha is not only dangerous for humans but also for birds. Hundreds of birds die every year after getting entangled in it. The family stated that a similar incident had happened to a relative of theirs before, but the situation has not improved.

Local residents have demanded that strict action be taken against those selling Chinese manjha. They have also urged the police and municipal corporation to conduct regular inspection campaigns to prevent such incidents in the future.
