Young batsman Abhishek Pathak has captured the attention of cricket fans with a sensational batting display in the Madhya Pradesh League. He smashed a century off just 33 balls, propelling his team to a b position.

Sports News: Saturday proved thrilling for cricket enthusiasts in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League as Abhishek Pathak showcased explosive batting, smashing a century off only 33 balls. This performance not only stunned the audience but also broke Vaibhav Suryavanshi's record of a century in 35 balls. Abhishek's innings demonstrated that with talent and confidence, even the most challenging feats are possible.

133 runs in just 48 balls, 90 runs from sixes alone!

Abhishek Pathak, the opening batsman for Bundelkhand Bulls, played a breathtaking innings of 133 runs in 48 balls. This whirlwind knock included 15 sixes and 7 fours. He scored 90 runs solely from sixes. Such a display is rarely seen in domestic cricket. His aggressive approach was evident from the start. He smashed three sixes in the second over and then hit four consecutive sixes off Ritesh Shakya's bowling in the fourth over, turning the match's momentum. Ritesh proved to be the most expensive bowler in the match, conceding 53 runs in four overs.

Abhishek shared a 178-run partnership for the first wicket with his partner Karan Tahliani. This partnership lasted 13 overs, after which Abhishek was dismissed. However, by then, he had steered his team to a b score. By the time his wicket fell, the scoreboard reflected a devastating display of batting prowess. Batting first, Bundelkhand Bulls scored 246 runs in 20 overs, one of the highest scores in MPTL history.

Desire to learn from Suryakumar Yadav

In a post-match interview, Abhishek openly expressed his admiration for Team India's star and current T20 captain, Suryakumar Yadav. He said, "I started playing cricket at the age of 13. I've played for Madhya Pradesh's U16, U19, and U23 teams. I've also played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy."

He continued, "I haven't played in the IPL yet, but I've tried to perform well wherever I've got the opportunity. I want to learn Suryakumar Yadav's consistency and match-finishing ability." His mindset and performance suggest he could become a big name in domestic cricket in the future.

Victory by 19 runs

In response, Jabalpur Royal Lions put up a good fight but were all out for 227 runs, resulting in a 19-run victory for Bundelkhand Bulls. Anubhav Agrawal, for Jabalpur, conceded 43 runs in three overs without taking a wicket. Two final league stage matches were played on Sunday, followed by two semi-final matches on June 23rd, based on the points table. The final match will be played on Tuesday, June 24th, at the Srimanta Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
