Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav enumerated the government's achievements in the industrial development and investment promotion of the state in the Legislative Assembly. He stated that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly becoming a center for investment and the state's image has gained new recognition at the national and international levels. The Chief Minister also said that the state has made remarkable progress in the fields of industrial expansion, exports, employment, and infrastructure development.

New Heights in Industrial Investment and Employment Generation
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the Legislative Assembly that significant progress has been made in the field of industrial investment and employment generation in the state in the last 18 months. 77 industrial units were inaugurated, with an investment of ₹1374 crore and direct employment for over 4800 people. Simultaneously, the ground-breaking ceremony of 151 units was completed, with the expectation of ₹7336 crore investment and approximately 13,700 potential jobs. Letters of Intent have been issued for land allocation to 789 industrial units, with an estimated investment of ₹28,722 crore and the potential for generating over 66,550 jobs.
The Chief Minister also provided important information about the Global Investors Summit (GIS) to be organized by the state government in Bhopal in 2025. He stated that this summit was the largest to date, with representatives from 65 countries and over 25,000 participants. During this event, investment proposals worth ₹30.77 lakh crore were received. Through 6 departmental summits, regional industry conclaves, and road shows alongside the GIS, communication was established with investors. As a result, land has been allocated to 254 industrial units, with the potential for ₹1,52,574 crore investment and over 1.82 lakh jobs.
The state government has also received extensive investment proposals in the mineral and tourism sectors. In the mineral sector, investment proposals worth ₹3.22 lakh crore have been received for 909 blocks. In the tourism sector, proposals worth ₹64,635 crore have been received from 305 investors, and MOUs worth over ₹325 crore have also been completed. Initiatives are also underway to partner with IBM, Microsoft, Barclays, and IISER in the fields of skilling and technology.
State's Identity on Agriculture and the Global Stage
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously making efforts to promote exports. Maheshwari and Chanderi sarees have received GI tags and are now being exported to countries like Japan and Europe. Organic spices, wheat, and coriander from Jhabua, Mandsaur, and Neemuch have also made their place in European markets. The demand for millets like Kodo, Kutki, and Bajra is rapidly increasing globally. Traders from Switzerland are now expressing their desire to invest in these products.
The Chief Minister stated that the state is now not only a leader in agriculture and mineral production, but is also becoming a major center for the processing industry. This is providing better value to farmers and producers and giving impetus to the rural economy. The state government has bly promoted the ‘Make in Madhya Pradesh’ campaign in this direction, which realizes the spirit of ‘Make in India’ at the state level. Trucks and tractors from brands like Eicher Motors and Force Motors are now being exported to Africa, Latin America, and South Asia. Transformers manufactured in BHEL Bhopal and Mandideep are delivering energy to power grids in India and abroad.
The state government's focus is also on bridging regional disparities. For this, Regional Industry Conclaves were organized in various divisions to bring out the industrial capabilities of each region. The Chief Minister said that just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays attention to the overall development of every corner of the country, similarly the state government is committed to realizing the potential of every region of Madhya Pradesh.
Emphasis on Industrial Infrastructure and Labor Interests
An investment of over ₹2000 crore is being made to strengthen the industrial infrastructure in the state. Projects like Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain, PM Mitra Textile Park in Dhar, Mega Leather and Footwear Cluster in Morena, Renewable Energy Park in Mohsa Babai, Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, Industrial Cluster in Ashta of Sehore, Multimodal Logistics Park in Pithampur, Economic Corridor and Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Indore are progressing rapidly.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a b Single Window System has been developed in the state, through which investors get all the necessary approvals and permits at one place. This saves both their time and resources. Investment promotion centers have been established in each district, which are providing guidance and assistance to investors at the local level.
He clarified that the government gives top priority to protecting the interests of workers. Justice has been provided to the workers of Hukunchand Mill and the government is working with the same commitment in other mill cases as well. The Chief Minister said that the state is now not only limited to attracting investment, but is also seriously striving to establish itself as a b brand. In this series, interactive sessions have been organized in eight major cities of the country, so that direct communication can be established with investors and the capabilities of Madhya Pradesh can be presented effectively.
