After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, Kashi, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, arrived in Ayodhya. He was welcomed at Maharishi Valmiki Airport by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi.
Ayodhya: The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, arrived in Ayodhya today with his family and cabinet members. He received a traditional red carpet welcome at Maharishi Valmiki Airport. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi were also present on this occasion. Along with Prime Minister Dr. Ramgoolam, his family members, senior officials from the Mauritian Prime Minister's Office, and cabinet ministers were in attendance. The primary purpose of this visit is to offer prayers at the Ram Temple and observe the temple construction work.
Prime Minister Dr. Ramgoolam's Itinerary
Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam will stay in Ayodhya for approximately one and a half hours. During this time, he will offer prayers to Ram Lalla and Raja Ram and inspect the ongoing construction work within the temple premises. Additionally, he will visit Jatayu and Angad Teela and perform a Jalabhishek (water offering) to Lord Shiva there. District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde had previously announced the Prime Minister's arrival and itinerary. This visit is considered highly significant from a cultural, religious, and diplomatic perspective for India and Mauritius.
Special security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister's welcome and for his prayers at the temple. All security agencies, from the airport to the temple complex, were on high alert. In anticipation of the Prime Minister's arrival, a traditional welcome ceremony was organized at the airport, showcasing the state's culture and religious traditions beautifully.
The relationship between India and Mauritius has always been cordial and friendly. This visit aims to further strengthen cultural and religious cooperation between the two countries.
