Darbhanga: In Kichka village of Darbhanga district, Bihar, a minor girlfriend on Thursday climbed a high-tension electricity tower and convinced her boyfriend to marry her. The girl's bold act on the tower, through which approximately 8 lakh volts of current flow, caused a stir in the village. The girl was safely brought down with the promptness of local villagers and the police.

This incident occurred in Kichka village, located in Ward No. 13 of Patniya Panchayat in the Biraul police station area of Darbhanga district. The girl, from atop the tower, declared that if the boy did not marry her, she would jump or touch the high-tension wires. Following this announcement, panic spread among the villagers, and they informed the police via Dial 112.
Police from the Singhiya police station immediately reached the spot. Local villagers also showed courage and helped in safely bringing the girl down. During the incident, both the girl and the boy were minors. The girl descended after the help of the villagers and assurances from her boyfriend.

Station House Officer Chandramani stated that the process was completed in the presence of the police. The Dial 112 vehicle played a crucial role in controlling the situation upon reaching the scene. Ward member Arjun Mukhiya confirmed the incident, calling it a deeply concerning matter, as the minor displayed such courage in her love that she risked her life.
