Mrunal Thakur has completed ten years in the Hindi film industry as of March 19, marking a decade of her film career since her debut. Her first film, Love Sonia, was released on March 19, 2014, introducing her to the big screen.
On the occasion, the actor shared a post on social media reflecting on her journey over the past decade. The post revisited her early days in the industry and included an announcement for her followers.
Reflecting on her debut, Thakur wrote that ten years ago she stepped onto a film set for the first time, describing it as the beginning of a journey she had not imagined. She stated that she remains grateful for the experience.

In the same post, Thakur announced that previously unseen deleted scenes from Love Sonia will be released online. She stated that nine deleted scenes from the film will premiere on YouTube within 24 hours at 10 am IST.
Love Sonia, directed by Tabrez Noorani, is based on the subject of international human trafficking and sex trafficking. The film follows the story of a young woman, Sonia, who attempts to rescue her sister Preeti after she is deceived and sold by traffickers. During the process, Sonia herself becomes trapped in a trafficking network.
The film addresses issues related to social challenges, human suffering, and systemic exploitation. It marked the beginning of Thakur’s career in cinema.
Over the past ten years, Thakur has worked in multiple films and web series, portraying a range of roles across projects.
