Former Kochadhaman MLA Mujahid Alam Leaves JDU, Joins RJD. Alam, Considered a Voice of Minorities, Could Give a Political Boost to the Grand Alliance in Seemanchal.

Bihar Politics: A major shift in political equations has been observed in the Seemanchal region of Bihar. Former Kochadhaman MLA Master Mujahid Alam, who long carried the flag of Janata Dal United (JDU), has now joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He has been a vocal opponent of the amendments to the Waqf Act and is recognized as a leader who raises the voice of the minority community.

Joining Ceremony Held in Sundarbari

The announcement of joining the RJD took place at a grand joining ceremony held in Sundarbari, Kishanganj district. Leader of the Opposition and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, and senior RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui were present on this occasion. Besides Master Mujahid Alam, several other leaders, public representatives, and social workers also took membership of the RJD at the ceremony.

Mujahid Alam Opposed Waqf Act Amendment

Former MLA Mujahid Alam has been a staunch opponent of the recent amendment to the Waqf Act. He described this amendment as against the rights of minorities and raised his voice against the central government's policies even while being with the JDU. This is the reason why he is considered a trusted face of the minority community.

RJD Expects Gains in Seemanchal Politics

According to sources, Master Mujahid Alam's joining the RJD may bring electoral benefits to the Grand Alliance in the Kishanganj, Bahadurganj, and Thakurganj assembly constituencies. Even while being in the NDA, he was not able to get full support from the community, but now this equation can completely change after joining the RJD.

Tejashwi Yadav Promises Development to the Public

Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, who was present at the ceremony, said that if the Grand Alliance government is formed, the plight of Seemanchal will be alleviated. He said that the RJD's objective is not only power but also social justice and inclusive development. He appealed to the workers to unite and engage in the elections and strengthen the RJD at every booth.

Accusations Leveled Against BJP, Accused of Spreading Hatred

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav targeted the BJP, saying that the RJD spreads love and harmony in society, while the BJP does politics of hatred. He said that the arrival of a leader like Mujahid Alam in the party shows that people now want change.

Abdul Bari Siddiqui Expressed Confidence

Former Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui welcomed Mujahid Alam into the party, saying that he is a supporter of social justice and his joining the RJD will further strengthen the party's policy and ideology. Remembering the late Taslimuddin, he said that the work he did for the development of Seemanchal needs to be carried forward.

On this occasion, a large number of RJD supporters and common people were present at the program held at Kisan College in Sundarbari. Several senior leaders, including District President Kamrul Huda, praised the policies of Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav in the program.
