Mumbai Police Bust Country's Largest Drug Syndicate, Seize Rs 12,000 Crore Worth of MD Drugs

In what is being described as its biggest operation to date, the Mumbai Police have seized MD drugs worth Rs 12,000 crore and busted the country's largest drug syndicate. Police investigations have revealed that drug traffickers were using emojis and code words on digital platforms to reach out to the younger generation, Gen Z, for dealing.

Mumbai News: The Mira Bhayandar Police, operating near Mumbai, have launched a major campaign against drugs and have exposed the country's largest drug racket. During the operation, MD drugs worth Rs 12,000 crore and approximately 32,000 liters of chemicals were recovered. Police investigations indicate that this network was active in South India, and drug peddlers were using emojis and code words on digital platforms to deal with Gen Z, with the aim of misleading investigative agencies.

Rs 12,000 Crore Worth of Drugs Recovered in Mira Bhayandar

The Mira Bhayandar Police, in an operation considered their biggest so far, have seized MD drugs worth Rs 12,000 crore. This action was carried out at an illegal factory operating in the Cherlapally area of Telangana, where drugs were being manufactured on a large scale. The police also confiscated 32,000 liters of chemicals from this factory.

This revelation paints a grim picture of the drug trade in the country. Investigative agencies believe that the network of this drug syndicate extended not only within the country but also internationally. Following the seizure, the police have initiated further investigations.

Drug Dealing Conducted Through Emoji Codes

Investigations have revealed that drug traffickers were utilizing social media platforms and chat applications to communicate with buyers. Notably, the drug deals were conducted entirely through emoji codes, designed to mislead investigative agencies.

According to the police, the names of the drugs, quantity, quality, price, and meeting locations were all determined using emojis. This new modus operandi was crafted to attract 'Gen Z' youth, making it easier for them to fall into this trap.

Largest Drug Stash Recovered for the First Time

Officials stated that this is the first instance where such a large quantity of drugs and a coded network have been apprehended simultaneously. Police suspect that this entire syndicate was active from South India to overseas, with its roots potentially connected to international smuggling.

Following the seizure, the police are conducting continuous raids, and several individuals have been taken into custody so far. There is also speculation that people from various states are involved in this entire network.

Experts Express Serious Concern

Drug control experts have stated that this business, operating under the guise of emojis on digital platforms, is primarily affecting the youth. This method is making the world of drugs more dangerous, as it is extremely difficult to identify.

The police have appealed to parents to monitor their children's online activities. Officials indicate that more significant revelations related to this case may emerge in the coming days.
