NEET UG Counselling 2025: The last date for choice filling for Round 3 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 counselling process has been extended until 11:59 PM today, October 13, 2025. Students who have not yet completed seat choice filling for Round-3 can immediately visit the MCC's official website mcc.nic.in to complete their process. The Round-3 result will be released soon, after which the reporting process at institutions will commence.
MCC Extends NEET UG Round 3 Choice Filling Deadline
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for choice filling for Round-3 until October 13, 2025. This opportunity is crucial for students who could not finalize their seat choices within the previously specified deadline. Candidates who have registered for Round-3 can now easily select their preferred college and course online.
Following this extension, students are advised to log in and complete their seat choice filling as soon as possible to avoid any technical or other issues.
Round-3 Counselling Schedule and Changes
Initially, MCC had set the dates for Round-3 registration and choice filling until October 9, 2025. Accordingly, results were to be released on October 11, and students were to report to colleges from October 13 to 21.
However, due to the extension of the choice filling deadline, new dates for results and reporting will be adjusted. MCC will soon announce the new dates on its official website. Therefore, all candidates are advised to regularly check mcc.nic.in for updates.
How to Fill Choices in Round-3
To fill seat choices in NEET UG Round-3, candidates must follow the steps below:
- Log in to the MCC website mcc.nic.in.
- Log in using your login credentials (Application Number / Password / DOB).
- View the list of colleges and courses available for Round-3.
- Select colleges and courses according to your preferences.
- After selection, finalize your choices and Submit / Lock them.
Please note that your selection will only be valid after locking. If a candidate does not lock their choices, a college may be automatically assigned by MCC.
Keep Essential Documents Ready
At the time of seat allotment and reporting for Round-3, students will need to submit several essential documents. Candidates should prepare all their documents in advance. The list of important documents is as follows:
- NEET UG 2025 Scorecard
- NEET Exam Admit Card
- 10th and 12th Class Certificates and Marksheets
- Valid ID Proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport
- Eight passport-sized photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
All documents must be correct and updated to avoid any issues during college reporting.
Round-3 Results and Reporting
The Round-3 result will be released by MCC soon. After the result, students will need to report to their allotted colleges. Since choice filling has been extended until October 13, changes in the result and reporting dates are possible. The new dates will be announced on the MCC website shortly.
After Round-3, students must report to their allotted college on time. During college reporting, all documents will be verified, and the admission process will be completed.
Preparation for the Final Round: STRA (Final) Round
According to MCC, the final round, i.e., STRA counselling, is likely to begin from October 24, 2025.
- Registration: Starting from October 24
- Choice Filling and Locking: October 24 to October 28
- Result: October 29, 2025
- Reporting: November 1 to November 7, 2025
After seat allotment in the final round, students can confirm their admission to a college. During this stage too, it will be mandatory to keep all documents ready and report on time.
