NIOS Releases September-October 2025 Practical Exam Schedule for Classes 10 and 12

NIOS has released the schedule for the 10th and 12th practical examinations. The exams will be held from September 12 to September 27, 2025. Information regarding hall ticket downloads and results will be available on the official website sdmis.nios.ac.in.

NIOS Practical Exam 2025: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially released the schedule for the 10th and 12th practical examinations for the September-October 2025 session. These examinations are scheduled to be conducted in designated examination centers from September 12 to September 27, 2025. Students are advised to obtain all necessary information related to the examinations in a timely manner and focus on their preparation.

Practical Examination Dates and Duration

The schedule for the practical examinations for classes 10th and 12th has been determined as follows.

Class 12th

  • September 12 to 15: Examinations for Home Science, Biology, Geography, Painting, Computer Science, Mass Communication, and Early Childhood Care and Education.
  • September 19: Examinations for Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Physical Education & Yoga, Data Entry Operations, Library and Information Science, Theatre Art.
  • September 20 to 23: Examinations for Computer and Office Applications, Certificate in Data Entry Operations, IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software, CRM Domestic Voice, Computer Hardware Assembly and Maintenance, Yoga.
  • September 24 to 27: Examinations for Home Management, Catering Management, Food Resources, Hotel Reception Office Operation, Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables, Web Designing and Development.

Class 10th

  • September 12 to 15: Examinations for Science and Technology, Home Science, Carnatic Music and Folk Art.
  • September 19: Examinations for Painting, Mathematics, Hindustani Music, Data Entry Operations, Theatre Art.
  • September 20 to 23: Examinations for Hair Care and Styling, Hand and Foot Care, Bakery and Confectionery, Certificate in Basic Computing, Certificate in Desktop Publishing (CDTP), Certificate in Yoga, Indian Sign Language.
  • September 24 to 27: Examinations for Cutting and Sewing, Dress Making, Beauty Enhancement and Hair Care, Certificate in Indian Embroidery, Beauty Treatment.

Students are advised to carefully study the schedule before the examinations and confirm their exam center and timings.

Examination Centers and Hall Tickets

All practical examinations of NIOS will be conducted at the Study Centers. Students should contact their Centre Superintendent or Institute Coordinator for information regarding their exam center, timings, and batch.

The process for downloading hall tickets has also commenced. Students can download their hall tickets by visiting the official website sdmis.nios.ac.in. The hall ticket is mandatory for appearing in the examination, hence students should obtain it in a timely manner.

Result Date and Announcement

According to NIOS, the results of the Class 10th and 12th practical examinations will be released on the official website approximately 7 weeks after the conclusion of the examinations. Students are advised to rely solely on the official website for their results.

Inquiries about the actual result date with any examination center or official will not be entertained. As soon as the results are declared, they will be made available online for students to check their progress on time.

Important Instructions for Students

  • All students must reach the examination center before the scheduled time for the examination.
  • It is mandatory to bring all necessary materials and equipment for the practical exams.
  • All COVID-19 and other safety guidelines must be followed at the examination center.
  • It is mandatory to adhere to the rules and instructions provided by the Centre Superintendent.
  • The Centre Superintendent reserves the right to cancel or postpone the examination in case of any malpractice detected.

Portal Re-opening and Other Information

The portal may be reopened under certain circumstances upon the request of students and parents. If a student could not appear for the examination or download their hall ticket, they are advised to contact their respective study center.

Students should also note that upon the reopening of the portal for both UG and PG levels, they must check the application deadline and fee submission details in a timely manner.
