Political temperatures have risen over an allegedly objectionable remark made against Dimple Yadav, Samajwadi Party MP from Kannauj and wife of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, during a live TV debate. The statement has triggered widespread outrage among Samajwadi Party workers, who claim that Maulana Sajid Rashidi's comment is not only an insult to a female MP but also an affront to the dignity of women. A complaint has been filed at the Surajpur police station regarding the matter, demanding strict action against the accused Maulana.
Complaint Filed at Police Station
On Monday, senior SP leader and advocate Shyam Singh Bhati, along with Pramendra Singh Bhati, President of the Bar Association Surajpur, arrived at the Surajpur police station. There, they submitted a complaint demanding that a First Information Report (FIR) be registered against the Maulana under relevant legal sections. Shyam Singh Bhati stated that the Maulana's offensive remark is not only an insult to a female public representative but also an attack on the self-respect of the entire female community. He urged the administration to take immediate and strict legal action against the accused.
Warning Issued to Administration
Several prominent Samajwadi Party leaders and workers were also present during the filing of the complaint. These included names such as Jagatpal Bhati, Mahendra Yadav, Pawan Bhati, Neeraj Bhati, Sushil Yadav, Dharmveer Yadav, Prashant Bhati, K.K. Bhati, Suresh Yadav, and Hemant. They unanimously warned that if the administration does not take appropriate action in a timely manner, the party will be forced to resort to agitation.
No Compromise on Women's Dignity
The Samajwadi Party has taken a firm stance on the issue, stating that there will be no compromise on the respect and dignity of women under any circumstances. Party leaders say that those who promote such a mentality should be brought to justice so that a positive message is sent to society. Currently, the police are investigating the matter and have assured prompt action.
This case is not only politically sensitive but also exposes the growing insensitivity towards women in society. All eyes are now on the administration's next course of action.
