AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi responded to a statement made by Navneet Rana regarding the number of children she has, during a rally in Akola, Maharashtra. He criticized interference in personal life and emphasized social responsibility.

Mumbai: Following BJP leader Navneet Rana’s remarks about having more children, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi took a swipe at her during a rally held in Akola, Maharashtra. He stated that he has six children and questioned, "Who is stopping you from having eight?" Owaisi targeted Rana without naming her in his comment, expressing his dissent in his characteristic style.

Owaisi stated that his beard is now turning white and it is inappropriate to question how many children someone should have. He said, "Someone said that there should be four children. Why four? Have eight children, who is stopping you?"

Navneet Rana’s Statement

Earlier, BJP leader Navneet Rana had appealed to Hindus to have at least three to four children. She argued that some people have multiple wives and many children, which contributes to their population growth. Rana said, "I appeal to all Hindus. Listen, they openly say they have four wives and 19 children. I suggest we should have at least three to four children."

Owaisi also mentioned RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in his statement. He said that leaders of his party, the TDP, and the BJP-led central government have also made statements regarding the number of children. Owaisi said that such statements send the wrong message to society and should be taken seriously.

On this occasion, Owaisi also said that no religion or community should be pressured regarding their personal matters. He believes that these policies and statements are part of a political agenda and it is necessary to view them from the perspective of social responsibility.

Discussion Regarding Number of Children

Experts say that having fewer children provides families with more opportunities for education and development. At the same time, it also helps control the problem of population growth in the country. Owaisi indicated in his statement that such statements are creating division and misunderstanding among communities.

Observers believe that making political statements about the number of children could be part of propaganda. Owaisi argues that each family should decide based on their wishes and socio-economic situation. He said that no one has the right to interfere in someone else's life and family decisions.

A Matter of Debate on Political Platforms

Political rhetoric regarding the number of children and family planning is often used to attract attention in elections and society. Different perspectives from political parties have emerged in this matter as well.

Owaisi also said on this occasion that statements spreading propaganda in society can be very harmful. He advised all communities and religions not to make their personal matters a part of political controversy.
