New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has expressed b outrage over the ongoing attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh. The organization has voiced serious concerns about these incidents, directly questioning the interim government of Bangladesh and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus. The VHP alleges that atrocities against minorities are increasing in the country, and the government remains a silent spectator.
Claims of Six Murders in the Last 18 Days
VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal claimed that six Hindus have been murdered in Bangladesh in the last 18 days. He stated that these are not isolated incidents but a dangerous pattern. According to him, Hindus are being consistently targeted, and law and order appear to have completely failed.
Vinod Bansal said that the killings of Hindus in Bangladesh are not stopping. He described it as a serious human rights crisis and stated that the international community should not remain silent on this issue.
Recent Incidents Heighten Concerns
The VHP spokesperson cited several recent incidents. He reported that a ship owner was murdered. Additionally, a woman, aged between 40 and 50, who was sitting in her home, was allegedly gang-raped and then set on fire while still alive.

Direct Accusations Against Muhammad Yunus

The VHP has directly targeted the head of the Bangladesh interim government, Muhammad Yunus. Vinod Bansal said that under the leadership of the so-called Nobel Peace Prize winner, an atmosphere of unrest prevails in the country. He alleged that the government is remaining silent on these incidents and is a silent spectator.
The VHP states that it cannot be expected that such a large number of human rights violations would occur under the rule of a person who has been honored for peace.
Outrage Following the Murder of Sharat Chakraborty Mani
The VHP’s response was further intensified following a murder in the Narsingdi area near Dhaka. According to local media reports, unknown assailants attacked 40-year-old Hindu man Sharat Chakraborty Mani with sharp weapons on Monday night.

Vinod Bansal has also raised this issue on the international level. He tagged the United Nations Secretary-General, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), questioning whether Islam permits such killings.
He posted on the social media platform X, stating that widespread human rights violations are coming to light under the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.
