Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has once again made a controversial statement regarding Kashmir. He accused India of spreading terrorism and warned of serious consequences if tensions escalate.
Pakistan: Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir is once again in the news for his controversial statements. Recently, during the passing out parade of the Pakistan Navy, he stirred up the Kashmir issue with inflammatory remarks. This statement comes at a time when Pakistan appears internally weak after the recent Operation Sindoor conducted by India.
Kashmir Called 'Jugular Vein' Again
Asim Munir described Kashmir as Pakistan's "jugular vein," meaning lifeline, and said that Pakistan should always remember the sacrifices of its Kashmiri brothers. He stated that Kashmir is under India's illegal occupation and that the people there are still struggling.
Poison Spouted Again After Operation Sindoor
The recent retaliatory action by India, Operation Sindoor, has dealt a severe blow to Pakistan. In this operation, the Indian army destroyed several terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Despite this, Asim Munir has returned to his old rhetoric and is accusing India of spreading terrorism in the region.
"Terrorism Not Ending Due to India"
Asim Munir claimed that Pakistan was close to eliminating terrorism from its soil but that India deliberately promoted terrorism in the region. He said that in the event of the enemy escalating tensions, there could be very bad consequences (Catastrophic consequences) throughout the region, and the responsibility would lie with that enemy.
Kashmiri Terrorism Called 'Sacrifice'
The Pakistan Army Chief described the ongoing terrorism in Kashmir as the struggle of the Kashmiri people, saying that we should never forget their sacrifices. However, he did not explain how innocent civilians are killed in these so-called 'sacrifices' and how terrorist incidents spread instability in the region.
Talk of Peace, But Threat of War
On the one hand, Asim Munir speaks of a solution in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, while on the other hand, he is also threatening India with 'very bad consequences'. He said that if the enemy thinks that Pakistan will not respond due to its internal problems, it would be mistaken. Pakistan will resolutely defend its sovereignty.
Described Defeat in Operation Sindoor as Restraint
Asim Munir claimed that Pakistan showed restraint and maturity during Operation Sindoor. He said that India carried out provocative actions, to which Pakistan responded bly and tried to maintain regional peace. However, in reality, India's b action caused heavy losses to Pakistan at military and strategic levels.
India Caused Destruction
After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Indian Air Force retaliated and destroyed nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. In addition, 11 airbases in Pakistan were also severely damaged. More than 160 people were killed in this entire operation, including a large number of terrorists.
