Pakistan Army Eliminates 25 Terrorists, Including Suicide Bombers, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

During a military operation in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 25 terrorists were killed, including four suicide bombers. The army conducted operations in North Waziristan and Kurram district, recovering a large quantity of weapons and explosives.

Pakistan News: During a major military operation in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, security forces killed 25 terrorists, including four suicide bombers. The army stated that all terrorists were attempting to infiltrate Pakistan from the Afghan border. Five Pakistani soldiers were also killed during the encounter. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the slain terrorists.

Terrorists Eliminated While Attempting Infiltration

A spokesperson for the Pakistani army stated that the terrorists attempted to enter Pakistan from the direction of Afghanistan. When the army became aware of their activities, action was taken at two locations in North Waziristan and Kurram District. The operation, which began on Friday night, resulted in the elimination of all terrorists following intense encounters in both districts. The army reported that the terrorists were planning a major attack, which was thwarted in time.

Suicide Bombers Linked to Fitna al-Khawarij

The army stated that the four slain suicide bombers were members of Fitna al-Khawarij, a faction linked to the banned organization Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). This is the same organization that the Pakistani government declared banned last year. The group's name is derived from a violent group in Islamic history notorious for extremism and religious violence. According to the army, the terrorists used advanced weapons and explosives, but security forces neutralized them before they could inflict any significant damage.

Military Operation Conducted in Both Districts

The Pakistani army reported that terrorist hideouts were identified in Spinwam, North Waziristan, and Gaki, Kurram district. During an encounter in Gaki, ten terrorists were killed, while fifteen terrorists were eliminated in Spinwam. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from both locations. The army stated that the modern weapons found with the terrorists indicate they were receiving cross-border assistance.

Pakistan Destabilized Again by Rising TTP Violence

In recent months, there has been a surge in terrorist attacks in Pakistan. The situation is particularly dire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. These attacks primarily target police, law enforcement agencies, and military installations. Security analysts state that the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has resumed its attacks since the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement in 2022. This organization has now become the biggest internal threat to Pakistan.
