Pakistan Dominates Oman by 93 Runs in Asia Cup 2025 Opener

In the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan showcased a spectacular performance, defeating Oman by 93 runs to make a victorious start to the tournament. In this match played at the Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan scored 160 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, while the Oman team was bowled out for just 67 runs while chasing the target. 

Sports News: Pakistan made a brilliant start to their Asia Cup 2025 campaign by defeating Oman by 93 runs. The match was played in Dubai on Friday. Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan scored 160 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Mohammad Haris played an excellent half-century innings for the team, guiding them to a b score. 

In response, the Oman team struggled and was bowled out for only 67 runs in 16.4 overs. With this victory, Pakistan has strengthened its campaign.

Pakistan's Batting – Mohammad Haris's Powerful Half-Century

Pakistan's start was not particularly b as they came out to bat first after winning the toss. Opening batsman Saim Ayub returned to the pavilion without scoring in the very first over. After this, Mohammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan steadied the team. They shared an 85-run partnership for the second wicket. Farhan scored 29 runs and was caught out off the bowling of Aamir Kaleem.

Mohammad Haris played brilliantly to complete his first half-century in T20 internationals. He played a superb innings of 66 runs off 43 balls, which included 7 fours and 3 sixes. Haris's wicket was taken by Aamir Kaleem. Among Pakistan's other batsmen, Fakhar Zaman remained unbeaten on 23 runs, and Shaheen Shah Afridi scored 2 runs. Players like Salman Agha, Hassan Nawaz, and Mohammad Nawaz got out quickly, which did put pressure on the team, but Haris's innings helped them reach a respectable score.

Oman's Batting – Entire Team Bowled Out for 67 Runs

Oman's batting innings got off to a very poor start as they came out to chase a target of 161 runs. Captain Jatinder Singh was dismissed for just 1 run. After this, Oman's batsmen struggled against Aamir Kaleem and Shah Faisal. Hammad Mirza top-scored with 27 runs, while Shakeel Ahmed contributed 10 runs and Syed Shahnawaz Khan remained unbeaten on 5 runs. Eight of Oman's batsmen could not even reach double figures.

Pakistan's bowlers performed exceptionally well, dismantling Oman. Saim Ayub, Sufyan Muqeem, and Faheem Ashraf took 2 wickets each. Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz each picked up one wicket.
