Sports News: The final match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan was a special occasion for cricket enthusiasts. In this high-voltage encounter held at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, the Pakistan Under-19 team delivered a stunning performance, defeating India by a significant margin of 191 runs and claiming the Asia Cup title. This marks Pakistan's second title in the Under-19 Asia Cup; previously, Pakistan and India were joint winners in 2012.
Strong Pakistan Batting

Indian captain Ayush Mhatre won the toss and opted to bowl first, but this decision did not favor India. The Pakistan team, batting first, posted a massive score of 347 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. The star of Pakistan’s impressive innings was opening batsman Sameer Minhas, who impressed everyone with his brilliant batting. Sameer played an explosive innings of 172 runs off 113 balls, including 17 fours and 9 sixes. It was his second century of the tournament. He completed his century in 71 balls and consistently put pressure on the Indian bowlers.
Sameer Minhas received good support from the other end. Hamza Zahoor was dismissed early, but Usman Khan (35 runs) then forged a crucial 92-run partnership with Sameer. Additionally, left-handed batsman Ahmed Hussain played a useful innings of 56 runs. The 137-run partnership between Sameer and Ahmed played a decisive role in taking Pakistan to a large total.
Deepesh Devandran took 3 wickets for India, while Khilan Patel claimed 2 wickets. However, the Indian bowlers failed to curb the Pakistani batsmen.
India's Poor Start While Chasing

The Indian Under-19 team, which came out to chase the huge target of 348 runs, got off to a very poor start. India’s top order completely collapsed, and the team lost wickets at regular intervals. Vaibhav Suryavanshi did get off to an aggressive start, scoring 26 runs off 10 balls, but he couldn’t extend his innings. Captain Ayush Mhatre was dismissed for just 2 runs. Following him, Aaron George (16), Vedant Trivedi (9), and Abhigyan Kundu (13) also returned to the pavilion cheaply.
In the middle and lower order, Deepesh Devandran sparked some hope with a quick innings of 36 runs off 16 balls, but it wasn’t enough to salvage the team. The entire Indian team was all out for 156 runs in just 26.2 overs. The Pakistani bowlers displayed disciplined and aggressive bowling in the final match. Ali Raza bowled brilliantly, taking 4 wickets. Additionally, Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ehsan each took 2 wickets.
