Separate drowning incidents in Bihar have affected several families. In Patna, seven sisters from the same family reportedly drowned in the Ganga River, while three boys died by drowning in Katihar. Relief and rescue operations were carried out with the assistance of the administration and local residents.

The incident in Patna occurred after the seven girls reached the bank of the Ganga. During this time, they came into deep water. As several girls entered the water at the same time, people present at the spot rushed to help.

After receiving information about the incident, local residents began rescue efforts. Three girls were rescued, while the bodies of two girls have been recovered. Divers and rescue teams have been assisting in the search for the remaining girls.

The b current and depth of the Ganga have made the rescue operation difficult. The administration's team is present at the site and is overseeing the operation.

Family members reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. The girls who were rescued were provided with immediate medical assistance, and their condition is being monitored. The bodies recovered are to undergo the post-mortem process.

The families of the girls remained at the site as the search operation continued for those still missing.

In a separate incident in Katihar, three boys died after drowning. The three children had reportedly gone near a river or another water source and entered deep water. People nearby attempted to rescue them, but the three could not be saved.

A local relief and rescue operation was also carried out after the Katihar incident. Following the recovery of the bodies, the process of handing them over to the families was undertaken. Police and administrative officials also reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.

The two incidents occurred amid the monsoon, when water levels in rivers and other water bodies can change rapidly. Rivers, ponds, ahars and other water sources can pose risks as water depth may increase after rainfall and riverbanks can become slippery.

The administration and local communities have called for caution around rivers and other water sources, particularly regarding children. Families living near rivers have been urged to keep children away from deep water and not leave them alone near riverbanks.

In Patna, local residents also participated in the rescue operation after the girls entered the Ganga. Three girls were rescued during the effort, while the search for the remaining girls continued.

The administration is collecting information about both incidents. Police may also examine the circumstances in which the children entered the water and how the incidents occurred. Further action may be taken if any negligence is found.

The incidents have left the affected families in mourning. Local residents have expressed sympathy for the families and urged people to keep children away from rivers and other water sources during the monsoon.
