Patna: The General Administration Department of the Bihar Government has executed a major administrative reshuffle in Patna, assigning new responsibilities to a dozen Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This change aims to streamline administration and accelerate departmental functions. The notification regarding this was issued on Saturday.
Harjot Kaur Bamhrah Gets Additional Charge of Revenue Council
Harjot Kaur Bamhrah, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has now been given the additional charge of Chairman cum Member of the Revenue Council. This charge has been given to her along with her current duties, ensuring administrative stability in the Revenue Department.
New Responsibility for Mihir Kumar Singh
Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director General cum Chief Enquiry Commissioner. Administrative experts believe that his experience will further strengthen the inquiry process.
Dual Responsibility for Ashima Jain
Ashima Jain, Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department, has been appointed as Additional Member of the Revenue Council. Additionally, she has also been assigned the additional charge of Enquiry Commissioner of the General Administration Department. This dual responsibility will further enhance her role in administrative coordination.
Rachna Patil Gets New Responsibility in Finance Department
Rachna Patil, Secretary of the General Administration Department, has now been posted as Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department. This is likely to bring a new perspective to policy making and expenditure management in the Finance Department.
Transfer from Rural Works Department to Animal Husbandry Department
Ujjwal Kumar Singh, Special Secretary of the Rural Works Department, has now been made the Director of Animal Husbandry. This change has been made with the aim of better implementation of animal husbandry schemes in the state.
Sanjay Kumar Appointed Director General of Disaster Management
Sanjay Kumar, who was awaiting posting, has now been appointed as the Director General of Disaster Management Directorate (Bipad). His experience in a sensitive department like disaster management will help the state in dealing with emergency situations.
Other Officers Also Get New Responsibilities
- Arvind Kumar Verma has been made Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
- Satyendra Kumar Singh has been given the responsibility of Additional Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department.
- Mahavir Prasad Sharma has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Finance Department.
- Yashpal Meena, who was Additional Secretary in the Water Resources Department, has now been made the Director of the Directorate of Handloom and Sericulture.
- Krishna Kumar, Joint Secretary in the Road Construction Department, has been made the Director of the Museum.
Changes in Transport Department
Ashutosh Dwivedi, Joint Secretary in the Building Construction Department, has been given the additional charge of State Transport Commissioner. This charge has been given to him for the strengthening of traffic management and transport services.
