Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh today, where he participated in the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. During his visit, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan accorded him a grand welcome.

Welcoming PM Modi at the airport, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wrote in a post that he was delighted to welcome Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to Puttaparthi for the centenary celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He added that he was eager to immerse himself in the divinity of this sacred place and recall Bhagwan's immense contribution to the region and humanity.
CM Naidu Extends Welcome
Upon the Prime Minister's arrival, CM Chandrababu Naidu stated that he was extremely pleased to have the opportunity to immerse himself in the divinity of this sacred place and recall Sathya Sai Baba's contributions to humanity. Sharing photos and a message of PM Modi's welcome on social media, he wrote, “It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to Puttaparthi for the centenary celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.”
Several senior leaders from Andhra Pradesh were also present during the Prime Minister's welcome. Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Union Ministers Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, and G. Kishan Reddy also participated in the ceremony.
Honouring Sathya Sai Baba's Teachings and Legacy
At the centenary celebrations, PM Modi lauded Sathya Sai Baba's contributions, recalling his life and teachings. He released a commemorative coin and a set of postage stamps, honouring Baba's enduring legacy. Prime Minister's Further Tour
After participating in the centenary celebrations in Puttaparthi, Prime Minister Modi will depart for Tamil Nadu. There, he will inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit organized in Coimbatore. The summit will feature discussions on agricultural development, natural farming, and the latest techniques. This visit by the Prime Minister is not only significant from a religious and cultural perspective but will also provide a new direction in the field of agriculture and rural development.
The centenary celebrations in Puttaparthi were organized in a remarkably grand and well-structured manner. Special attention was given to security and facilities in the temple and Mahasamadhi area.
