Furthermore, PM Modi will commence his visit by offering prayers at the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, one of the country's most ancient and religiously significant sites.
Offering Prayers at Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple
Prime Minister Modi's visit will commence at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Srisailam. This temple is a significant site among the 12 Jyotirlingas and 52 Shakti Peethas. According to officials, the most unique feature of this temple is the co-existence of a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha within the same complex, making it unique across the entire country. The citizens of Andhra Pradesh are expressing enthusiasm about PM Modi's spiritual and religious program.
After offering prayers at the Srisailam Temple, the Prime Minister will visit the Shivaji Sphoorti Kendra. This center is dedicated to the memory of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, featuring models of the Pratapgad, Raigad, Rajgad, and Shivneri forts at its four corners. A meditation room is situated in the center, commemorating Shivaji Maharaj's legacy and his unparalleled leadership.
Inauguration and Foundation Stone Laying of Development Projects in Kurnool
The main highlight of PM Modi's visit is the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various development projects in Kurnool. He will lay the foundation stone for the Transmission System Strengthening Project worth ₹2,880 crore at Kurnool-3 Pooling Station. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Orvakall Industrial Area in Andhra Pradesh and the Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa. These projects are expected to attract an investment of approximately ₹21,000 crore and create one lakh jobs.
Additionally, he will inaugurate GAIL India Limited's Srikakulam-Angul Natural Gas Pipeline, which spans 124 kilometers in Andhra Pradesh and 298 kilometers in Odisha. Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a six-lane greenfield highway from Sabbavaram to Shilanagar, costing ₹960 crore. Furthermore, the projects include:
- Four-lane expansion of the Pileru-Kalur road section.
- Road widening from Kadapa-Nellore border to CS Puram.
- Inauguration of a four-lane Rail Over Bridge (ROB) between Gudivada-Nujella railway stations.
These projects are crucial for strengthening the transport and industrial infrastructure in the state and will also contribute to local job creation.
